I've been emailing sprint back and forth about swapping my Mogul for Pro and got this:


Thank you for contacting Sprint. I am sorry for the inconvenience you
have experienced due to the handset problem.

As stated in the last interaction by previous representatives that the
handset is still under the manufacturing warranty. Therefore, I would
suggest you to please purchase the Touch PRO handset at the nearest
Sprint Store and we will send the return kit for the HTC Mogul through
e-care. Once this handset is returned to the warehouse the account will
be credited for the handset price. This way you will be charged only
the price difference of the handset.

The account will be credited for the handset in 1 to 2 billing cycle.
However, I would suggest you to please provide us the Tracking Number of
the returned handset and we will apply the credit of the handset through
e-care.

In addition to this, I can offer you additional $50.00 credit from my
side on handset upgrade. So, you need to purchase the handset at the
Sprint Store and after activating it just replay and we will apply the
$150.00 ($100.00 previous promised +$50.00 promised now) credit on the
account.

If you need any further assistance please write back. I will assist you
further.

Being that some of you guys work at Sprint on here is there a way I can swap this without me coming out of pocket first?

Ummm yea,,,,,but damn bro! yOU lucked out! just come outta pocket they will credit you back... it would take a longer process for you to not have to come outta pocket... The touch PRO isnt released for SPRNT, so i dont know how they would even right you that!

thats what im saying i would go back and fourth between them and tell them that you want them to send you the phone and credit your account there since it will come out in stores 2 weeks after release just like the diamond did..... (with return package included when they ship)
 
thats whats up! I will be attempting the same thing. I think swapping 3 or more units at the service center accounts for a touch pro to make things right. Don't get me wrong I love my mogul but I really want that touch pro. So I am willing to try. Thanks for the idea!
 
Well gents it would seem I will be seeing my touch pro next week. After a few emails and phone calls sprint decided to accommodate me. They did charge me for the new unit but when my touch pro arrives I send the mogul back and they will credit me but who cares about that I will have the touch pro in my hands by the end of the week. That's what's up!

Yea I am dying to know the same thing!

trying to do the same thing. just got my mogul in July, but new about the touch pro. the only reason i did it was I couldn't pass up the sero plan at last minute when it died. I knew i should have gotten a cheaper phone and then swap.

But yeah to stay in topic please let us know more info. i tried echating with sprint in august to maybe put a note on my account to let me swap out when the touch pro was available but was shot down.

I hope i'm as lucky as you! in the next coming weeks.

hahahahah i have a thread here on how i did it for my buddy... with screenies included.... also good luck on getting it done and let us know how it works for you..... you have to be sure to use excuses on things not working right that are well known and all.

than you werent looking hard enough and sorry not going to help you since i feel that you still screwed me over so you iwll have to find yourself.... your lucky i didnt ban your ass......

I just told them that the phone wasn't physically defective because if you do that they will just tell you to go to one the repair shops or assurrion. Just tell them that the Mogul has known issues that updates simply did not fix. if you've had the phone for less than a year it's still under manufactuer warranty. It also helps if you've been with them for a while i've been with em 8 years. I used that as leverage too.
 
ok i got my touch pro yesterday and i still have two working moguls with just problems...i have had sprint for 8 yrs and had sooo many problems with my mogul ive gone through almost 10. i was only qualified for a yr for rebate which is 75$ but after two hrs of being on the phone i got one of the supervisors to bump me to 150$ instant savings and 100$ rebate so that i would be getting the phone for 299$ and so i bought it at that price...i love the phone so far but i really want to get the phone for free. i was thinking about returning the phone within the thirty days going back to the mogul and getting another mogul under the insurance i had and then try to get em to switch again after another problem once sprint has the touch pro in their stores i think it will be more of an easier process because the problem when i called them was most of the people i talked to heard about the touch pro but it wasnt yet in their system so they couldnt even consider the swap. any advice from you guys would be greatly appreciated...plus it would of been cheaper if i would of had a coupon if i was a best buy rewards customer i would of received another 20% off the phone.
