"Storage Space Low" - Despite using Memory Card

Using an XV6700, I just bought a 2gb MiniSD memory card (well, it's a Micro with a Mini Adapter, but the phone recognizes it). While trying to install the iCube application, it asks me if I want to save it to the Device or the Storage card, which I reply Storage Card. It then tells me that the storage space on the device is "Critically Low" and Installation can not finish. WHY?!?! I told it to install to the Storage Device, why is it even trying to install to the Device?

Any thoughts?

because most apps like the cube have to be installed to the main memory and not the card. the reason for this is because it reads the info on the device before the card. i install almost 40 apps on the device main memory and none to the card and still have over 110 megs of space asnd fast as hell speeds. the storage card is called a storage card becuase it stores music and the cab files, etc......... not applications to be installed to is the way that i look at it.

Hmmmm.....well, for some reason I'm down to about 3 megs on the card. Lord knows why. Any thoughts on why that might be? What is the overall capacity of the device to begin with?

Not only that, but now I cleared up some space, and I can't find the Cube application to run anyway!

(If my reply was deleted for a reason, sorry)

My device has about 12 mb of storage space left (it has about 20mb of "Program Memory left) without the Cube installed. What's the normal capacity, and is there a reason that my capacity is so low? Is there a way to free up some space? My device is refurbished, but it's supposed to be renewed to "Factory Default" settings, and I haven't taken any pictures, put any music, or anything like that on the device itself. Any thoughts on this?

thats not memory bro that is ram. you have a certain amount of ram that can be used before the device cant run anymore and shuts down just like a computer. on the mogul you have 64 megs if ram which is plenty make sure you use a task manager on your phone like quickmenu or x button to close out of the apps once you are done with them. the cube takes up mad ram so thats why you are running so sluggish and also haviung lack of ram. so make sure in the future that you say ram and memory since they are totall different. also since oyur new we have to moderaste your posts it wasnt deleted.

First of all thanks for the quick replies. It's awesome.

Any ideas what big apps I might have installed? I have Windows Mobile 5, but nothing other big that I can think of. Wisbar Advance, Picsel, Google Maps, but not really anything else. Any tricks you know of as a way that I can clear up some space?

Also, fairly unrelated, but I did end up installing the Cube to the device, and it said that it might not work because it was meant for a "previous version". I downloaded from this thread, and it just doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas?

Thanks!

ell wisbar is a huge memory hog and for the cube to work even though it is still taking up space you need WM6 on your phone and the cube also is a huge memory hog

Ah, well, the lack of WM6 would certainly explain why it won't work.

Probably a stupid question, but can the XV6700 handle WM6?
