Aight guys, my brother is looking to buy a laptop and I thought with all the people here who know their sh*t when it comes to computers I would ask for some advice. He is looking for:

1. Around $1700
2. Blueray read/write is a must!
3. 1080p output is a must
4. size and weight don't matter
5. no preference on hard drive
6. he wants a processor w/ minimum of 2.4gz
He wants a good one to use for primarily multimedia and some moderate gaming, and he is looking at a sony vaio AW or a dell studio XPS. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

cant beat those prices anywhere. on top of that if you look up dell outlet coupons they release coupons for different models each month you can filter out exactly what you want my suggestion would be to up to 2000 and get m1730... i paid 4 grand for my m1730 when i got it :(

but seriously dell outlet is THE SHIT

i would go with hp or toshiba. i can get you an eployee discount of 16% through the hospital i work at...... just let me know and you can build it to your liking right on their site.... you could also go with a toshiba sicne they are very nice computers also....

OH yeah?? Wow D has always been talented but I see she's grown 10 fold!! Go D! Go D! Where the heck is she anyway? Maybe I'll start doing sigs again because I don't see anybody repping for the ladies!

she made this sig for me a couple of months ago and i haven't seen her on the boards lately...hmmm...maybe i'll get me a simplyput siggy :-D
