please dont shoot me for being a noob.. but will this work on a mogul flashed to cricket? i know it relies on some sort of connection just dont know if cricket is capable of this. again sorry asking possibly a dumb question.

i have version 4.20.30wp, what is the best way to update to the new version?

i coneected my phone to pc...draged over folder for garmin to pc...then uninstalled garmin from phone....then installed new...then i took old folders contents...like the swl file voice help i think two others that wern't in new one...dropped in rebooted and worked fine....

since i have internal gps i dont need an external receiver do I? only reason i ask is cause it says scanning attatched but the process bar just sits at like a quater done for ever.

yes this will work fine with the internal one.

kaos tells you the step by step process in post #6

Just as a heads up, if you begin to have problems trying to install this thing from scratch, delete all of your mms and sms messages and you should be fine. Took me 3 days to figure this out. Nice find BTW AMJ.

Kaos... you are killing me man... after installing your take 5 rom today I went to reinstall garmin and found this... works like a charm... AWESOME!!!!!

big thanks to you brother..
:yourock:

when i use the key gen it gives me a long key and garmin only request a 6 digit key??

you must not have read any part of how to install it? the key should be placed in a file named sw.unl & saved in the storagecard/garmin directory & garmin will not ask for any keys.

Installation procedure:

a) Start installation of 'GarminMobileXTforWindowsMobile_5.00.20w.exe' from PC through ActiveSync. Select your Storage Card as destination. During the installation, files will be copied to your storage card. The files should appear in '\Storage Card\Garmin\Apps\WM'.

OK I feel like a total noob asking this. This is the 1st time I've tried to use this program( Been a sprint nav fan) So I started the install and as the instructions said to connect to the Garmin GPS and thats where I'm @ now it will not leave this screen it keeps saying scanning bluetooth and scanning attachments and before any says anything yes I did restart after the install

its been ages since i've installed it the first time, once you do its always on your storage card & you just "re-initialize" it to get your icons back. but back to your question, if i remember right you just do what you can to get out of that screen so you can get to the unit id screen & crack it. if for some reason garmin cant connect i want to say try loading google maps or live search with the gps on & then leave one of them open while starting garmin. this should keep the gps active so garmin can talk to it the first time. like i said its been ages since i originally installed it, so i'm simply going from my memory, which can be a bit hazy lol

just cancel while it is searching all you need is the unit id for the keygen. once you get the key. open notepad on your desktop copy the key and save as sw.unl then place that into the garmen folder on your phone. you dont need to connect to anything once you have that unit id for the keygen you can close garmin. after the .unl file is in place you can restart garmin and it will work. load your maps and your ready to roll...
