[RELEASE] Garmin Mobile XT for Windows Mobile software version 50020w

this is a simple as they come... my wife put it on here phone and she knows nothing about them.... read the directions closely and you will have no troubles...

I have noticed that on my mogul the program never wants to start up. always says.. "the system is low on memory. please free some memory and restart the application"

usually have to restart the phone for it to work. but once its running it works great.. waaay cooler than the old version..
 
welcome to the "Low Memory WinMo Phone Club!" i finally cancelled my membership when i got the HTC Touch. i was a star in the club starting off with my Tmobile Wing & then the mogul. i hope i never have to be in the club again LOL
 
thanx, i have the update and my gps is working now....i have one more question, where is the file GarminMobileXTFreeBasemap_5xxxx.exe? it wasnt in my download....
 
hey kaos,

saying thanks again for this. i had never had any experience with a gps maps program apart from google maps, thought id give this a go and followed the instructions. unlocked it with the keygen and downloaded the map for my country new zealand. unlocked it with the same keygen. transferred the maps to my phone and wooooo hoooo.

everything going great! i'm happy because i thought installing this would be some major work but really it isnt!!

i went to settings about and it says my device id is Touch. then the keygen says its not valid. only ids that start with a number are working, but unfortunately my touch says it has to start with a letter. a little help please

i'm already on the new version, but mine shows Software Unit ID.

Touch is NOT Your unit id. mine is 10 characters all numbers. hope that helps.
 
First off, thanks to everyone who had a hand in this... I hit the downloaded and thanks links where applicable.

One question, and forgive me if the answer is somewhere in this thread...

It keeps telling me that I need "detailed maps" if I want to have it navigate anywhere. It then directs me to Garmin's site. Did I miss the maps somewhere?

Nevermind... I found the answer elsewhere.

In case anyone else stumbles across this thread & wonders the same thing, you have to find the maps online yourself. Torrents are the way to go, it would seem... if only I could find some that are being hosted. :confused4:

please check the following post for GARMIN CITY NAVIGATOR.. it is the mapsource application that lets you load all the maps onto your ppc.
