no, i believe you get the unit id from running the garmin xt software on your phone first and it will tell you a unit id.

There is no "service" you pay for. If you want to buy the application, it costs $99, but its provided here free.

I had this version running on my mogul and for sh!ts and giggles I updated to the new XT interface (v5.00.10w) It is Garmins new version where you can download cars to replace the directional arrow. Other interface changes as well.

All I did was download the XT updated version...

Then the updated support files...

Then the updated BaseMap...

Follwed the instructions with this threads version and whammo...All new fully working Mobile XT

I didn't see that anyone was having a problem with this but what do I do after I followed all of the instructions....when I open the app the only options that open are enter product key....????.....and connect to a Garmin GPS?? If this is already addressed just redirect me to the thread, but I didn't see it.
