TCL has unveiled the QM7K Precise Dimming Series, the latest addition to its QD-Mini LED lineup. With upgraded HDR performance and a Halo Control System designed for more precise lighting control, the QM7K builds on the success of the QM6K, which debuted earlier this year at CES. TCL is offering the series in screen sizes ranging from 55 inches to an eye-catching 115 inches, covering everything from premium home entertainment setups to massive, wall-dominating displays.

More Precision, Less Blooming

The Halo Control System introduces a suite of refinements to backlighting, aimed at delivering a more controlled, accurate image. These include:

  • Super High Energy LED Chip – Boosts brightness without excess power consumption.
  • Super Condensed Micro Lens – Tightens light paths for sharper images.
  • Micro OD (Optical Distance Reduction) – Reduces the gap between the backlight and diffuser for better contrast and fewer halo effects.
  • Bi-directional 23-bit Backlight Controller – Fine-tunes brightness adjustments across 65,000+ levels for smoother gradations.
  • Dynamic Light Algorithm (DLA) – Enhances SDR content for near-HDR quality.

TCL’s high-contrast HVA panel works in tandem with these features, offering five times the native contrast of standard LCD panels. The addition of a new Color Optimization Algorithm refines color reproduction, giving a more natural and accurate picture.

Audio That Matches the Visuals

TCL has partnered with Bang & Olufsen to deliver 2.2-channel premium sound, ensuring that the QM7K doesn’t just look good—it sounds good too. Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X are included for an immersive listening experience, creating spacious, dynamic audio that enhances movies, sports, and gaming.

Designed for Home Theater and Gaming

The QM7K isn’t just built for movie lovers—it caters to gamers with high-performance specs:

  • 144Hz Native Refresh Rate
  • Game Accelerator 288 for up to 288Hz VRR
  • Zero-Delay Transient Response, minimizing motion blur and input lag

With IMAX Enhanced and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro Certification, TCL is ensuring this TV keeps up with both fast-paced gaming and cinematic experiences.

Aesthetics and Smart Features

The thinner, bezel-less design combined with an anti-reflective CrystGlow HVA Panel gives the QM7K a premium look while minimizing glare. It runs on Google TV, supports hands-free voice control, and includes a new backlit remote. TCL is also introducing Filmmaker Mode and Art Mode, allowing users to switch between cinematic accuracy and a digital art display.
