The best instructions on loading custom roms onto a HTC TITAN

I flashed kaos **** sprint rom a long time ago and haven't messed with it since but my talk button and some other stuff doesn't work so i have to take it back to sprint, hence i have to flash back to stock...... i can follow all the instructions but i thought somewhere along the way the battery had to be removed, i dont see anything about that, can canyone help on that?

did you try a hard reset to see if thats all it needed to clear up the button not working? and yes you have to relock your device and than once you do that flash back to the stock rom from htc's website than take the battery out again to reset the pagepull.

Dash or anyone - can you tell me if the ROM flash instructions posted here for Titan work for AT&T Fuze/Diamond? I am trying to avoid asking you guys silly questions cuz i know you get a lot. Looked for HTC Diamond rom flash instructions in tutorial section but did not find them. thx for your help.

as weesjre said we have the touch pro and the diamond flashing guides below in our signatures but you said the fuze..... thats gsm and not cdma so you will want to go to
Code:
www.xda-developers.com
for your hardspl and your rom (they are gsm rom site) and than you can stop back over here for all your goodies to add to your new rom

Thank you for a very clear and concise set of instructions. I very much appreciate it. Although still apprehensive about trying flashing myself, I find myself getting closer and closer. I do have one question, that hopefully can be answered. I use a flashed Mogul to Cricket. I have found Cricket PRL "codes" @ another site. The question is, should the prl code go into the RUU or am I out of luck using like Kaos roms for Cricket? From my reading I believe that the ROM version is pretty much how the guts of the phone work, but the PRL is what makes it available to for calls etc. My radio is already 3.35.04, my prtocol version is DCAAXAM-4350, and my PRL version is 38899 and PRI version is 1.35_002.

no the PRL is something different and isn't necessarily built into the rom......you can run the prl you found from the other site after you flash. Just remember to soft reset after you update.

Ok....I have a backup phone coming in the next couple of days and am now ready to venture forth into the flashing realm! If I understand all the reading I have done, through this tutorial and others, once i have the new radio flashed, followed by the new rom, i should be able to drop in my carrier cab (for Cricket) and then .prl file. the carrier cab should install itself the way its supposed to, once again if i am understanding everything, but does the .prl file need to go into a special place such as the windows root directory or into a registry (dont think so on that one) or will the system find it when it needs it?

OK....now i have been giving this alot of additional thought and glad i did...i am guessing that to get my phone number into the new rom and to get it actually communicating with my carrier (Cricket) that i have to do the ##778 and enter the information there....I remember seeing something about this but i could not find it again.....Thanks

Nevermind I think I am good....i finally stumbled across a thread over at PPC that explained that the PST setting should not change when a new rom is flashed....in which case I believe that I am golden! Thanks!
