Last night I did the following:

downloaded some themes
downloaded the TF3D Config Tool
downloaded the SPrint theme Calendar CAB

I installed the Sprint Calendar CAB. Rebooted. Froze up on me after 2 to 3 minutes jumping betwen icons/tabs.

I uninstalled the Sprint Calendar CAB. Rebootted. Everything was back to normal after a second reboot.

I installed the TF3D Config. Reboot.

I switched to the Power Theme. During the process i got a warning I was low on memory; however the finish screen was reached. Rebooted.

The theme loaded just fine however everything was going very sluggish. Then I got loacked up, black screen with bars at top and bottom. I was able to hold down power and soft reset. Try #2, froze up again. Reboot. Went into TF3D Config and restored default theme. Reboot

Everything was back to normal. Now this morning however, I can only get the compact QWERTY keyboard to show up. The other keyboards 1) wont pop up to choose on the keyboard pop up button that appears on text screens. 2) when i got into settings/input, i can see all the items in drop down, but if I select full QWERTY and exit (and got back in) it is set back to Compact and nothing changes in scenario 1.

I get the feeling I am about to go into my first hard reset. Is this a known issue?

Sounds like you need a hard reset but i dont have a diamond and dont kno common issues but dont take my word let someone more experienced respond before you take any further action

I wwould Run a a Custom ROM and if you install ANYTHING i would install it to the internal memory (4g) and not the device memoty as you DO NOT have as much memory with a Stock ROM as you would on a Custom ROM... look in my Sig to learn how to flash! I recommend Juicy 2.6 ROM for the diamond....it has some great features.

NOt really looking for a custom ROM at the moment because I am going to be traveling alot through the month and wont have time to monkey with it. The Sprint stock ROM works great for me. (Already talked through this with Dash last night. Very cool ROMs available, but I am very happy with it as it. I must be the lucky one with a golden Diamond... lol 'til now :( )

I am looking to see if the keyboard thing can be fixed or is known before I hard reset my device. I am assume I will loose all my text conversations, music pics, etc... and will have to reinstall everything from scratch.

yes but all you have to do is backup the images amd music on the pc and pimbackup for the rest :>

Does that include music and pics on the internal storage? (ie the 4gb)

I can just copy them to my PC and then copy back over after the hard reset and everything shoudl be back.

tabs are like the icon buttons in TF3D. They each pop up a screen just like tabs in pop up windows. Tiles, Tab, Icons, etc... same thing.

Got everything back to normal after a hard reset. Would be a wonderful app to be able to back up text messages, email accts, etc... to your PC and then after a hard reset restore them. All my conversations are gone, and have to setup all my email accounts and settings all over again. All just to have a theme. LOL

See Dash... told you i am that 1% where shit just does not work right for me! LOL

give it some time it might not update the percents and all right away and i dont even know what you are downloading or transferring.... please post in the thread of what you are downloading so we can help you. :whistle3:

and also check out pimbackup

I gave a step by step in an earlier post... and the result was i lost the ability to select a keyboard other than the compact QWERTY. Basically i tried the themes and had bad luck with it working smoothly (even after 2 soft resets.) I did everything according to your video. It just didnt like my phone for some reason. The Sprint calendar one didnt either. every time i would go to the call history icon on the menu it would lock up TF3D.

In any event I am back to normaly now. I will check out that backup. I have used Sprite before, but it backs up everything. What I would like would be like Microsoft LIve One Care for Mobile Devices. It will back up your settings, messages, email accounts, wallpaper, font size, etc... all your preferences. So even after you restore/reload/hard reset, you could just restore the saved settings/messages/wallpapers, etc... back to your device without having to go through the pain of setting it all up. Would be great if you could select one at a time to restore so you could perhaps find a culprit of an issue. :)

I know this isnt the right thread for an idea like that, BUT wanted to clarify what I was talking about.
