i have a huge issue with the battery on this phone/smartphones in general, and i hope this is just what the doctor ordered! and another thing, a suggestion. in the noob area there should be in bold print -pick a rom, find the best radio for your area, start reading!- that's what every noob wants to know. because after that it's like whoever puts in the most work has the sickest phone with the most goodies. i love ya AMJ!

you know i know, you responded to my post in that thread. i was searching for info on radios and came across this one and that one and some more. they're out there for sure. i'm just saying that i'm soooo excited to find out what a difference maker the radio is, it should be highly prioritized in the noob section. just a suggestion. not saying stuffs not out there. being a noob, i know what the dumb people want, what they need. :dnfnoob2zp: i'm wearing the sign...but i'm tryin to shake it.

we cant make everything be in the noob area..... i feel the noob area is already loaded with stuff and radios are mentioned quitre A bit on the boards.... theres always going to be new radios, new devices, new radip updates, etc.... and would think anbout adding it to the flashing guide but i couldnt see anywhere else it could be placed.

i think the flashing guide would be perfect. just so a noob could go "radio, i'll have to look into that." like i said the site is fab and everything is out there for sure. and let new people read and search and read. but a simple direction arrow would've been great for me.....that's all i'm sayin' now go test that verizon radio and give us your michigan feed back. we want your opinion cause you're the master!

that Verizon 1.03.09 gives me the best battery & signal so far out of all of them, was on telus but i couldnt make it 12 hours when i went out & my signal kept jumping around with the Verizon 1.03.09 1 i can make it thru the day & i get a stedy good signal thru out the day

hahahhaha word and yea i will get that added to the flashing guide and retitle it so others no it includes radios now too..... but so far so good on the verizon radio.... havent got a full day of testing yet but the signal even in my basement is better than it was and the battery life seems to be lasting longetr thus far since i did put it through hell yesterday... bump this thread tonight guys and i will give a full review with all different aspects covered in it.

i've been on the new verizon radio for just a day and i haven't been able to check battery life, though it's no worse than the telus. however, i did notice reception difference. i work in a freezer at a warehouse in wixom, mi. not much gets good service there, but it's known that verizon does hold the best signal. so i decided to flash the new v radio and it has been a great decision! more bars....anywhere. i believe the battery life is better too but i'll have to monitor over a longer period. so if anyone is using that great telus radio here on the eastside of MI i would suggest giving the new v radio a spin. and that's what i think

i have to agree. in grand rapids michigan the verizon radio does get the same battery as the telus life wise but hte signal strenght with the verizon radio is a much better difference even in my basement when i was getting just about 1-2 bars if i was lucky and now im at 2-3 steady :) loving it so far and going pretty damn well if i should say so myself...... i would recommend if verizon is the main in your area to go and give this radio a whirl.

Anybody have any reviews on the new telus and alltel radios that they might wanna share?

I'm kind of curious to find out if it would be worth the switch, but im at school right now.

Ohh btw the title threw me off because it says "June" instead of "July" update.

Real world test would be at least the 3MB file, but if you're getting those speeds then more power to you.

I personally like the new telus radio though. Went up a bar or two in service.

Tried the 1.12 alltel and it just didn't work well at all here in Nashville. It got stuck on 1x for like 4 minutes after soft reset.
